THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DA) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) Leaving the starting stalls, RAFEEF'S CHOICE (*D Pillay) and ON BOARD (*E Muller) which was slow into stride, came together and brushed. c) Approaching the 100m, POETIC PRINCESS (*S Bungane) which was hanging out from the 300m, was brushed by GRUE OF ICE (*B Soodoo) which was carried in by ACACIA'S BLOSSOM (*B Marx-Jacobson) which rolled in. Thereafter, in the concluding stages, POETIC PRINCESS (*S Bungane) was carried in by GRUE OF ICE (*B Soodoo) which rolled in. d) In view of the performance of ON BOARD (*E Muller) (5.95 lengths, 16/1 in the betting) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) AMAFORT (*D Ramkhalawon), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
