THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	EXPLOSIVE SPEED (C Zackey) was nervous in the stalls and slow into stride.
b)	PYRO EDITION (C Little) jumped awkwardly outwards and was slow into stride. 
c)	GLOBETONIC (Y Ramzan) jumped outwards.	
d)	MR BELVEDERE (MK Katjedi) kicked the back gates in the starting stalls.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (14h36)
b)	While proceeding to the start, Jockey M van Rensburg felt something amiss with ICHACHA and returned the gelding to the parade ring, where it was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and withdrawn. 
c)	Shortly after the start, FLIGHT ENGINEER (M Yeni) was bumped out by GLOBETONIC (Y Ramzan), 	which jumped outwards.	
d)	CHEERFUL CHARLIE B (C Maujean) had to be steadied momentarily and was directed inwards to avoid 	running onto the heels of FLOWER FESTIVAL (L Mxothwa), which shifted outwards at the 250m.
e)	In view of the performance of NOTORIX (C Habib) (Betting 5/1; Distance 8.75 lengths), the Veterinary Surgeon 	was requested to examine this gelding.
f)	GLOBETONIC, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer DG Smith was 	advised. (LM)
