THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MALIBU ICE (R Fourie) was nervous in the stalls, kicked the back gates and thereafter, was slow into stride. b) ROSES FOR TREX (C Zackey) was nervous in the stalls, kicked the back gates and jumped awkwardly. c) TP THUNDERCHILD (*B Soodoo) jumped awkwardly outwards and was slow into stride. d) OBSIDIAN STAR (L Mxothwa) jumped inwards. e) PRINCESS OF AJIAAL (Y Ramzan) jumped outwards. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (12h16) b) OBSIDIAN STAR (L Mxothwa), which jumped inwards and PRINCESS OF AJIAAL (Y Ramzan), which jumped outwards, made heavy contact shortly after the start. c) PRINCESS OF AJIAAL (Y Ramzan), which raced green, took a number of awkward strides between the 150m and the finish.
