THE STARTER HAD NO REPORTS. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) Jockey C Zackey (TRAJANUS) did not persevere with his riding from the 300m. Thereafter, Jockey C Zackey reported that he felt something amiss with this gelding in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) Jockey K Matsunyane (CHARMING CHEETAH) appeared before the Board and was advised that although the use of his crop fell within the parameters of the current transition period, the revised use of the crop Rules and penalty framework will take effect on the 1st of April 2026. d) Jockey G Lerena (ZALATORIS) appeared before the Board and was advised that although the use of his crop fell within the parameters of the current transition period, the revised use of the crop Rules and penalty framework will take effect on the 1st of April 2026. e) ZALATORIS (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
