THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FRED FRIZZLE (K Strydom) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. b) GIMMETHESPOTLIGHT (M van Rensburg) was slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) FRED FRIZZLE (K Strydom) commenced to give ground to the field from the 400m. c) Apprentice G Samo-Burthia appeared before the Board, in the presence of National Riding Master, Mr R Moore, and was reminded of his obligation to ride his mounts out to the end of the race with sufficient determination and vigour so as to leave no room for query from the Stewards. d) Trainer M Pandaram was charged with a contravention of Rule 39.7.5 in that he failed to vaccinate SNOW MOON against Equine Influenza in accordance with the programme of vaccinations as published from time to time in the Racing Calendar. Trainer M Pandaram signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R1000. e) GIMMETHESPOTLIGHT (M van Rensburg), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D N Stenger was advised (MduP). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) GREEN MACHINE was ridden by Jockey C Murray (declared 21 March 2026 at 13H25). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: None.
