THE STARTER REPORTED: a) NAUTICAL FIRE (T Godden) was stubborn to load. Trainer D W Moore will be advised to reschool this gelding. b) TRIP TO MAVERICK'S (R A Venniker) lost 1 length. c) KAZ FROM ALCATRAZ (M Yeni) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (JN) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) Shortly after the start NAUTICAL FIRE (T Godden) was bumped by KAZ FROM ALCATRAZ (M Yeni) which jumped inwards leaving the starting stalls. c) In the concluding stages NAUTICAL FIRE (T Godden) which raced green, was directed outwards, away from the heels of PRIZED POSSESSION (S Veale) to continue its run. d) TRIP TO MAVERICK'S (R A Venniker) and PRIZED POSSESSION (S Veale) raced green. e) Jockey C Zackey (RUSHING CHIMES) reported that his saddle slipped back in the running. This was confirmed by the patrol film. f) RUSHING CHIMES (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer R A Hill was advised (SP).
