THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SASCHA'S DREAM (R A Venniker) lost 1 length. b) HURRICANE FLIGHT (*S Bungane) lost 3 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DA) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) OUR LADY FATE (K Matsunyane) and ZENA ROSE (K de Melo) did not parade in front of the grandstand. Trainers R A Hill and D C Howells will be advised that should these horses behave in a similar manner in future, they may be suspended. c) Approaching the 500m QUEEN AMINA (C Little) was steadied when awkwardly placed between the heels of ZENA ROSE (K de Melo) and the heels of SASCHA'S DREAM (R A Venniker) which over-raced around the turn, proving difficult to assist and rolled out. d) Apprentice A Mosaheb (ECHO) rode a satisfactory qualifying ride. e) HODGEPODGE (S Veale), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
