THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MIDWAY (G van Niekerk) jumped awkwardly. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (14h05) b) Shortly after the start, RED CORAL (JP van der Merwe) rolled out, clipped the heels of BEAUTIFUL SIDE (C Murray) and stumbled. c) SPECIAL GLAMOUR (*EJ Muller) raced wide without cover in the early and middle stages. d) Trainer AE Sands reported post-race that BEAUTIFUL SIDE (C Murray) returned with a minor abrasion above her left eye. e) RED STATE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer MH Maingard was advised. (ZM) JOCKEY AND/OR EQUIPMENT CHANGES: a) G van Niekerk rode MIDWAY.
