THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FARMER'S TAN (MK Katjedi) and LADY LIMONCELLO (Y Ramzan) were stubborn loading. b) SIXTYZERO (*B Soodoo) jumped slow, losing two lengths. c) AM STILL WINNING (*G Dookhit) and NIGHT IN JAPAN (*I Taka) jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (13h40) b) Permission was granted for SABRAGE (*B Marx-Jacobson) to be assisted by a lead pony when proceeding to the start. c) Leaving the 1300m SALAGADOOLA (W Agrella) had to steady momentarily to avoid running onto the heels of THE SCARLET CAT (*W Fourie). As a consequence, FARMER'S TAN (MK Katjedi) was steadied to avoid running onto the heels of SALAGADOOLA (W Agrella). d) NIGHT IN JAPAN (*I Taka) shifted in away from the crop from the 250m. e) Apprentice B Marx-Jacobson reported that SABRAGE did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. f) DISRUPTIVE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SB Kotzen was advised.
