Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FAWNLEAS (*D Pillay), QUERARISTINYFERARI (C Zackey) and ASGARDIAN QUEEN (C Habib) were stubborn to load. b) LADY NANCY (C Little) lost 1 length and thereafter was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DM) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) LADY NANCY (C Little) raced green. c) Apprentice D Pillay (FAWNLEAS) was dislodged shortly after the finish line. FAWNLEAS proved elusive in being taken in hand which precluded Apprentice D Pillay from weighing back in. The Board, acting in terms of Rule 66.2, deemed his weight to be correct. d) Jockey C Little was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2, (Appendix E; Guideline M), in that as the rider of LADY NANCY he misused his crop by striking this filly more than twelve times (14) in the entire race. Jockey C Little signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R4000. e) FLOWER TRYST (K de Melo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M N Prinsloo was advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Nil. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) No report.
