THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CAPRICIOUS MISS (A Mgudlwa) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DA) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) THREAD OF LIFE (C F Dicken) over raced in the early and middle stages when equipped with pacifiers for the first time and when racing without cover. c) CAPRICIOUS MISS (A Mgudlwa) was squeezed out shortly after the start. Thereafter, this filly commenced to over race for a short distance passing the 1000m. d) At the 300m, THREAD OF LIFE (C F Dicken) was inconvenienced when close to the heels of SAUDI SWEEP (R A Venniker) which rolled out. e) Jockey C Zackey reported that he felt something amiss with ACACIA'S BLOSSOM in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) Trainer L W Goosen was questioned regarding the performance of ACACIA'S BLOSSOM (C Zackey). He could offer the Board no suitable explanation. Trainer L W Goosen will be asked to report back on the condition of ACACIA'S BLOSSOM on return to stables. g) Apprentice A Mosaheb (DI ROSA) rode a satisfactory qualifying ride. h) HEARTS ON FIRE (C Habib), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer L W Goosen was advised (MM). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Apprentice A Mosaheb (claiming 4kg) was the rider of DI ROSA (advised 24.03.2026/12h49). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil.
