THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, HIGHWAY CODE (K Matsunyane) and MEGA AWESOME (C Murray) came together and bumped. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) Approaching the 1200m, GUS ON THE BUS (D Schwarz) was steadied momentarily when awkwardly placed between PRAYERSANDPROMISES (R Munger) and PARACHUTE ADAMS (M Yeni), which commenced to over-race and rolled out. c) Jockey K Matsunyane reported that HIGHWAY CODE took no interest in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) WHAT A WARRIOR (P Mxoli), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer T Zackey was advised (MduP).
