THE STARTER REPORTED: a) COMIC ARTIST (*B Marx-Jacobson) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. b) FLYING PREDATOR (D Schwarz) was slow, losing two lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) COMIC ARTIST (*B Marx-Jacobson), after jumping awkwardly leaving the stalls, took a number of awkward strides shortly after the start. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) KINGS HEAD (J R Syster) raced wide around the turn and into straight, commenced to hang out and thereafter shifted in away from the crop from the 300m. d) Apprentice B Marx-Jacobson (COMIC ARTIST) appeared before the Board, in the presence of the National Riding Master, and was advised that although the use of his crop fell within the parameters of the current transition period, the revised use of the crop Rules and penalty framework will take effect on the 1st of April 2026. e) Trainer M Pandaram was charged with a contravention of Rule 38.4 in that he failed to update the passport of THOONSIL with respect to Equine Influenza. Trainer M Pandaram signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R250. f) THOONSIL (*M Mbuto), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M Pandaram was advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) GREENSIDE GIRL raced equipped with cheek pieces and a tongue tie on (declared 30 March 2026 at 09H47).
