THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) DENVER (*K Strydom) was hanging in, in the straight. b) Jockey G Wright reported that he felt something amiss with GENTLE RAIN in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) FLUTE (*G Pieterse), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer T Fripp acting on behalf of Trainer A J Rivalland advised (NS). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) APOLLO ELEVEN raced with a tongue tie and with a compression mask (advised 28.04.22/7h24). b) SEA CRUISE was ridden by Jockey M Yeni. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) GENTLE RAIN : Nothing obvious detected. b) ARABIAN WYLIE : Fatigued and returned post-race having cast the left front shoe.
