Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CHIHIRO (O Noach) was stubborn loading and thereafter, was slow into stride. b) WHO IS SHE (C Murray) and SPARKLING SKY (C Orffer) were restless in the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (13h26) b) Due to a technical issue, the Stewards were unable to record the footage of this race. This was brought to the attention of the Racing Operator. c) WORLD VICTORY (S Veale) proved difficult to settle in the early and middle stages. d) At the 300m, while racing in close proximity, NICCI'S LAW (C Zackey) was accidently struck on the muzzle by Jockey JP van der Merwe's (ARKANSAS STATE) crop. e) In the concluding stages, SPARKLING SKY (C Orffer) was awkwardly placed on the inside of FATE OF PACE (G van Niekerk), which rolled in. Jockey G van Niekerk (FATE OF PACE) appeared before the Board and was advised that the Stewards expected him to straighten his mounts sooner than he had on this occasion. f) WHO IS SHE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer J Crawford was advised. (SC) JOCKEY AND/OR EQUIPMENT CHANGES: a) JP van der Merwe (ARKANSAS STATE) rode +0.5kg. (53.4kgs) b) G van Niekerk (FATE OF PACE) rode +0.5kg.
