THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ROCCAPINA (A Domeyer) and STORMWATCH (R Fourie) made contact leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (15h11) b) After being taken in behind runners from its outside draw, WILD APPLAUSE (M Yeni) proved difficult to settle in the early stages. c) KINDA WONDERFUL (C Murray) was hanging out in the latter stages. d) Jockey C Orffer reported that he felt something amiss with SCARLET MACAW. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) QUEEN REGENT, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer G Terzi, acting on behalf of Trainer SJ Snaith, was advised. (SC) f) ROCCAPINA, the second-placed horse, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
