Stipes Report
The re-scheduled off time to this Race was delayed due to BARRY DU GROND (C Zckey) having cast it's right front shoe on parade which was attended to by the course farrier at the start. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BARRY DU GROND (C Zackey) and MIGHTY ZAMBEZI (C F Dicken) were stubborn to load. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (SR) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) BARRY DU GROND (C Zackey) lost its right front shoe on parade, and this was attended to by the course farrier at the start. c) BARRY DU GROND (C Zackey) was bumped and squeezed out when awkwardly placed between ROCK MUSIC (*D Ramkhalawon) and AXIS POWER (*D Pillay). As a consequence, AXIS POWER (*D Pillay) had its hind quarters turned outwards. d) AXIS POWER (*D Pillay) hung out from the 300m. Thereafter Apprentice D Pillay reported this gelding did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) MIGHTY ZAMBEZI (C F Dicken), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer W Whitehead was advised (MM). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Nil. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) AXIS POWER: Lame left front.
