THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CONNERY (C Little) and KALAHARI ROLLER (*D Ramkhalawon) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DM) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) At the 800m DONQUERARI (C Zackey) was steadied momentarily in anticipation of being awkwardly placed on the heels of CIRCUMBENDIBUS (*S Bungane),which was allowed to roll in to take a forward position on the inside running rail. Apprentice *S Bungane appeared before the Board with regard to this incident and was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground in races in future. c) Jockey S Moodley reported that CAPTAIN'S CHRISTY took an awkward stride in the concluding stages. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) CIRCUMBENDIBUS (*S Bungane), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
