THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DM) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) Shortly after the start, QUEEN AMINA (C Zackey) which was slow into stride, was steadied when awkwardly placed between STAR OF THE FUTURE (K de Melo) and MANY WATERS (R Venniker) which jumped inwards leaving the starting stalls. c) Jockey C Zackey reported that he felt something amiss with QUEEN AMINA in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) BASIE RAAKVAT (N Patel), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M J Odendaal was advised (SS).
