Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CHAOS QUEEN (M Michel) and HOLLYWOOD HEIRESS (C Habib) lost 1 length. b) AMPHITRITE (A Mgudlwa) was restless in the starting stalls and jumped outwards sharply. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (JN) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) Shortly after the start HARPA (M Yeni) was severely unbalanced when bumped out by AMPHITRITE (A Mgudlwa) which jumped outwards sharply leaving the starting stalls. c) Jockey C Zackey reported that LOLLY WILLOWES did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) Jockey C Little signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 58.10.2, (Appendix E; Guideline M), in that, as the rider of LILTING SONG, he misused his crop by striking this filly more than ten times (13) which was not warranted when considering the circumstances of the race. Accordingly, a penalty of R3600 was imposed. e) Trainer G van Zyl (Jnr) signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 8.3.1., in that he failed to ensure that the owner's colours were available for the horse BLONDE BOMBSHELL. Accordingly, a penalty of a warning was imposed. f) LILTING SONG (C Little), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer J Buckler acting on behalf of Trainer G S Kotzen was advised (MM). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) TIPPERARY raced equipped with blinkers (Advised 04.04.2026/06h59). b) BLONDE BOMBSHELL raced in Operator's Colours. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) LOLLY WILLOWES: Fatigued. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS. DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: a) None.
