Stipes Report
The start of this Race was delayed due to the tongue tie on LADY LEGEND (*R Venniker) having to refitted at the start.
THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) PURPLE MERCHANT (*S Hlengwa) was stubborn to load. Fly-jumped leaving the stalls and lost two lengths.
b) BLUSH OF DAWN (A Mgudlwa) lost one length.
c) TRAVELLING LIGHT (A Arries) lost three lengths.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a) LADY LEGEND (*R Venniker) was hanging out from the 400m, proving difficult to assist.
b) Jockey A Arries reported that TRAVELLING LIGHT did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
c) Trainer B Badenhorst signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 8.3.1, in that she failed to ensure that the owners colours were available for the horse LADY LEGEND. Accordingly, a penalty of a warning was imposed.
d) BOLDLY GO (K de Melo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer N Roscoe acting on behalf of Trainer D Kannemeyer advised (NS).
