THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CULTURATI (R A Venniker) was stubborn loading and thereafter slow, losing one length. b) Shortly after the start, TOMMY SHELBY (J Gates) and DIOGENES (M Yeni) came together and bumped. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) At approximately the 600m, SALANI KAHLE (S Veale) and REIGN ON IMPACT (A Mgudlwa) were bumped in by DIOGENES (M Yeni), which rolled in. c) In view of the performance of REIGN ON IMPACT (A Mgudlwa), (distance 39,25 lengths, betting 100/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) Jockey K de Melo reported that he felt something amiss with SWORD SPEED in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) CURIOUS GIRL (R Fourie), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Matthew de Kock was advised (MS). f) SALANI KAHLE (S Veale), placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer G van Zyl (Jnr) was advised (MduP). Race 9 contd. JOCKEY CHANGES: a) CURIOUS GIRL was ridden by Jockey R Fourie (declared 2 April 2026 at 12H00).
