THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MFULATHELA (*K J Lihaba) was stubborn loading. b) JAN FISKAAL (C Maujean) reared in the stalls. c) NORTHUMBERLAND (S Moodley) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. d) BERRY LANCER (*B Marx-Jacobson), JAN FISKAAL (C Maujean) and RAPTOR KING (K de Melo) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) EDEN GARDENS (J R Syster) shifted both ways away from the crop from the 400m. c) The saddle on NORTHUMBERLAND (S Moodley) slipped back in running. This was confirmed by a Stipendiary Steward. d) Jockey C Maujean reported that he felt something amiss with JAN FISKAAL in running.
