THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GOOD SHINE (MK Katjedi) and RISSIEPIT (*W Fourie) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (12h33) b) Permission was granted for PERFECT IMPACT (C Zackey) and FONTE (C Little) to be assisted by a lead pony when proceeding to the start. c) In view of the performance of FANTINE (R Fourie) (Betting 7/2; Distance 9.00 lengths), which over raced in the early and middle stages, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Trainer AC Greeff was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this filly on her return to the stables. d) RISSIEPIT (*W Fourie) had to be steadied momentarily when awkwardly placed on the heels of SALOON GIRL (M Yeni), which shifted inwards at approximately the 900m. Jockey M Yeni appeared before the Board and was warned to take stronger corrective measures to keep his mounts on a straight course in future engagements or a sanction may be imposed. e) PERFECT IMPACT, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer DG Smith was advised. (LM) JOCKEY AND/OR EQUIPMENT CHANGES: a) RISSIEPIT raced without blinkers and with a compression mask.
