Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	ROCK MY BOAT was slow, losing three lengths. Trainer C I Jonker was advised to reschool this gelding prior to his next engagement (GT).

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded.
b)	The Stipendiary Board called a race review into the start with regards to ROCK MY BOAT in stall gate 3.  It was established, on reviewing the patrol films from the various angles, that this gelding had reared shortly before the start was effected, which resulted in the Handler allocated to him being unable to remove the hood timeously. As a consequence of this, ROCK MY BOAT lost ground to the field. The Board was of the opinion that he had not received a fair start and, acting in terms of Rule 61.5.10.2, declared him to be a non-runner.
c)	Jockey P Mxoli, the rider of THE NAME OF DLADLA, briefly dropped his right-side rein at the 200m.
d)	MILLENNIUM WARRIOR, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
