THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	ICANSEECLEARLYNOW (S Cele) was difficult loading and kicked, causing a further delay.
b)	FOREVER BILL (K de Melo) took an awkward stride, shifted out and bumped ADIRA (G Cheyne) leaving the stalls.
c)	WAR BANNER (R Fourie) was slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 
 
a)	The bridle on FOREVER BILL (K de Melo) had to be re-fitted prior to leaving the parade ring, causing a delay.
b)	Jockey L Mxothwa (BOISTEROUS BUDDY) dropped his crop at the 200m.
c)	Approaching the 200m a tiring SMITH AND WESSON (G van Niekerk) had to be steadied when tightened for galloping room between the inside running rail and BOWLED OVER (A Marcus), which had to be steadied when brushed inwards by SWIFT ACTION (K Steyn) which was hanging in and shifted in away from TCHAIKOVSKY (A Domeyer).
d)	Jockey G Behr reported that he felt something amiss with GEORGIE GEORGE. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
e)	Jockey G Cheyne reported that ADIRA tired quickly from the 200m. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
f)	SWIFT ACTION (K Steyn) raced in club colours with the permission of the Stipendiary Stewards.
g)	In view of the report from the starter regarding ICANSEECLEARLYNOW (S Cele), this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as he proves to be tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 05/05/2022 to 11/05/2022 inclusive). ICANSEECLEARLYNOW may not be presented for re-passing during this period.
h)	TCHAIKOVSKY, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Bass-Robinson was advised. (JF)
