THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TIGER STORM was slow, losing two lengths. b) ROYAL HORIZON and PRINCESS LOLA were slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) In the concluding stages, ROYAL HORIZON was steadied momentarily when awkwardly placed on the heels of ORIENTAL BOUQUET. This precluded Jockey Wes Marwing (ROYAL HORIZON) from riding his mount out to the end of the race. c) Apprentice B Marx-Jacobson was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that he, as the rider of TIGER STORM, misused his crop by striking this gelding more than ten times (11). Apprentice B Marx-Jacobson signed an Admission of Guilt, and a fine of R1800 was imposed. d) PLUMBAGO PARK, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer A Smith was advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. THE VETERINARY SURGEON HAD NO REPORTS. SCRATCHED: a) ARIZONA MAGIC change of venue. Advised 23 April 2026 at 08H17.
