THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PAVS CHERRY (D Ashby) was fractious in the stalls, reared, was taken out, examined by the course veterinary surgeon and withdrawn, causing a delay. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) GLOBAL AVENUE (J Smitsdorff) and SILVER GARBO (L Mxothwa) raced green. b) In view of the report from the starter regarding PAVS CHERRY, this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 05/05/2022 to 11/05/2022 inclusive). PAVS CHERRY may not be presented for re-passing during this period. c) MIDNIGHT TRYST (K de Melo) returned suffering from a bilateral epistaxis due to an exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage and is suspended, for a period of 60 days, from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in terms of Rule 93.1. (Dr J Batt) d) SHE'S MY CAPTAIN, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee R Fredericks, acting on behalf of Trainer M Rix, was advised.
