THE STARTER REPORTED: a) THE BRONX BULL jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) TIME IS PRECIOUS jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) GIMME SOME LUCK was selected for the taking of specimens for TCO2 testing. The first specimen revealed a level of over 36 TCO2 mmol/L. Trainer F P Habib was advised that, in terms of the Procedure for Total Carbon Dioxide (TCO2) analysis on Raceday, a second blood specimen would be collected. Trainer F P Habib was informed that the second blood specimen had revealed a level above the threshold of 38 mmol/L and that consequently GIMME SOME LUCK was scratched from this race in terms of the provisions of Rules 72.1.23; 4.2.14 and 4.2.18 (Withdrawn at 11H59, 91/100 in the betting). GIMME SOME LUCK was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
