THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SIMONIS and TRIP TO MAVERICK'S were stubborn to load. b) SIMONIS and PRINCE OF RABADA lost one length. c) SPORT OF KINGS lost 2 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DM) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) At the 500m, Apprentice Q Ngcobo (PRINCE OF RABADA) accidentally dropped his crop. c) At the 400m, Apprentice G Samo-Burthia (TRIP TO MAVERICK'S) briefly dropped his left-side rein. d) SPORT OF KINGS raced green. e) At the 150m, ROSKILDE was carried in and bumped by WAR EMPEROR which rolled in. As a result, WAR EMPEROR had its hindquarters turned outwards. Thereafter, shortly before the finish, WAR EMPEROR was carried out by ROSKILDE which shifted outwards away from the crop. f) ROSKILDE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer G Kotzen was advised (MM). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) No report. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: a) None.
