Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DA) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) ONE IRISH ROVER hung in from the 700m. c) At the 250m, DEFINITELY YES which hung in throughout, was carried out by YANNAKIS which rolled out. Thereafter, in the concluding stages, YANNAKIS and DEFINITELY YES came together and brushed on three occasions. d) Apprentices S Sesingi (NAVAJO DANCER) and P Porffy (ONE IRISH ROVER) rode satisfactory qualifying rides. e) Apprentice M Mbuto was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2, (Appendix E; Guideline M), in that as the rider of DEFINITELY YES, he misused his crop by striking this gelding more than ten times (13) in the entire race. Apprentice M Mbuto signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R3600. f) YANNAKIS, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer G I Rich was advised (SP). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) No report. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: a) None.
