THE STARTER REPORTED:  
a)	DRICUS, ROOSTER BRADSHAW and SON OF RAFEEF lost 1 length.
  
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DA) :
a)	All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels after LITTLE BOY BLUE was passed on a second test.
b)	CHARLIE CROKER over-raced in the early stages, proving difficult to settle.
c)	Approaching the 200m, IRELAND FOREVER was directed to the inside of runners to continue its run.
d)	Leaving the 200m, GRAND APPEAL was briefly baulked for a clear run.
e)	At the 50m, CARDINAL CHIEF took an awkward stride and became unbalanced when awkwardly placed between the outside running rail and LITTLE BOY BLUE which hung in from 300m, had come to end its run and rolled out away from GRAND APPEAL. 
f)	Jockey T Godden reported that he felt something amiss with SON OF RAFEEF in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. 
g)	In view of the performances of PARMENION (5.75 lengths, 40/1 in the betting) and LITTLE BOY BLUE (4.90 lengths, 33/1 in the betting) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. 
h)	DRICUS, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer B Forster acting for Trainer W A Nel  was advised (MM).
