THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MARMALISA (A Domeyer) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Leaving the 1200m DAUGHTER OF ZEUS (J Jacobs), which pulled hard in the early stages, raced onto the heels of SILVER SABRE (A Marcus), was steadied, shifted out and then was allowed to race to the front of the field. b) Jockey A Domeyer reported that MARMALISA did not stride out freely in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) Jockey K de Melo reported that MALEDIMO made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) SILVER SABRE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer B Crawford was advised.
