THE STARTER REPORTED: a) KLIPTOWN and WORLDLY jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (15.28) b) At the 500m CLARK GRISWOLD was bumped outwards by FOLLOW YOUR HEART, which shifted out when awkwardly placed on the heels of BLIND DATE. c) Jockeys S Moodley (KLIPTOWN) and G Wright (FIRINGONALLENGINES) reported that their respective mounts took no interest in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) In view of the performance of FOLLOW YOUR HEART, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. e) CORK BAY, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
