Stipes Report
The start was delayed due to an over-reach boot having to be retrieved from the track at approximately the 250m. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SYBILLA lost 2 lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. b) CHOCTAW RIDGE lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DA) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) Shortly after the start, WINTERY MANSION was bumped by SURELY NOT which jumped inwards. c) At the 1100m, NORTHERN EUROPEAN jumped the shadow cast by a light pole. Thereafter, Apprentice T Mayhew reported that NORTHERN EUROPEAN changed stride repeatedly in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) An Inquiry will be opened to establish why ROY'S BLOSSOM suffered interference at the 700m. e) WEDDING VOW, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer L Woodruff was advised (MM). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) COME TOGETHER raced with alumites in front, unshod behind. b) WINTERY MANSION was ridden by Jockey S Hlengwa. Reserve runner. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) NORTHERN EUROPEAN : Not striding out right front & cut into left hind. b) SYBILLA : Coughing. c) CHOCTAW RIDGE : Coughing. SCRATCHINGS : a) TIPPERARY : Under 8 days' suspension (NHA - 04.05.2026/10h37). b) ROSA OSIRIA : Heat left front (Trainer - 05.05.2026/8h30). Rule 53.5 applies. DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: a) None.
