THE STARTER REPORTED: a) STATE CAPITOL lost 1 length. b) DOUBLE OLYMPIC lost 2 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DA) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) DAY TWO hung out throughout. c) DREAM DECISION over-raced in the early and middle stages. Thereafter, Jockey S Moodley reported that this filly did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) STATE CAPITOL raced wide around the early part of the turn. In view of the performance of this mare (38.50 lengths, 33/1 in the betting) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) CIRCLE OF GRACE raced wide around the turn from the 1100m. f) Jockey C Zackey reported that CONNOISSEUR choked up in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. g) Leaving the 100m, INTUITIVE SPIRIT was directed to the outside of DAY TWO to continue its run. h) In view of the performance of MANY WATERS (12.10 lengths, 5/2 in the betting) Trainer D Campbell will be requested to report back on the condition of this gelding on return to stables. i) MOHANDAS, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
