THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO EMERALD COUNTESS BEING SUBJECT TO A LATE VETERINARY EXAMINATION AND SUBSEQUENTLY BEING SCRATCHED. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ROCK MY BOAT was stubborn loading. Trainer C I Jonker was advised to reschool this gelding prior to his next engagement (GT). THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) Jockey J Greyling reported that he felt something amiss with RIVER KITTEN in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) PROPER, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer J A Soma was advised (MduP). JOCKEY CHANGES: None.
