Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GRAN CANARIA jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) CLARKSON and COMMANDER OF ALL were slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) GRAN CANARIA hung in from the 400m. In view of this performance, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) OKLAHOMA SMOKESHOW hung in from the 300m. d) At approximately the 150m, CLARKSON was tightened for galloping room when awkwardly placed between the inside running rail and SIX OF ALL, which shifted in away from the crop and was straightened. e) FRERE JACQUES, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M N Houdalakis was advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) CAN'T CATCH ME: Jockey J R Syster weighed out at 52,9kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) GRAN CANARIA fatigued. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS. DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: None.
