Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	MOUNT ANDERSON (C Habib) was stubborn loading and jumped slow, losing three lengths.
b)	MISTER SPEAKER (K Minnie) was stubborn loading and nervous in the stalls. 
c)	DOWSER (C Little) was slow into stride.	

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	MOUNT ANDERSON recorded a TCO2 concentration of more than 36 mmol/L. Trainer K Mitchley was 	advised that a second blood specimen would be collected. This specimen was of an acceptable TCO2 level.
b)	There was a delay to the start of this race as there was a technical issue in the Stipendiary Stewards 	boardroom. This was brought to the attention of the Racing Operator. The starting time of this race was 	subsequently changed.
c)	Shortly after the start MISTER SPEAKER (K Minnie) stumbled badly and made contact with RUNAWAY 	SONG (S Naidoo). Thereafter, MISTER SPEAKER (K Minnie) commenced to over race in the early and 	middle stages. 
d)	LAGUNA VERDE (G Wright) was hanging in between the 300m and the 200m.
e)	Jockeys C Habib and S Naidoo, the Riders of MOUNT ANDERSON and RUNAWAY SONG respectively, 		reported that these geldings did not stride out freely in running and they did not persevere with their riding from 	the 300m.  The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
f)	In view of the performance of WITHOUT QUESTION (M Yeni) (Betting 15/10; Distance 12.25 lengths), the 	Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
	Stable Employee Z Xamle was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this gelding on his 	return to the stables.
g)	In view of the report from the Starter regarding MOUNT ANDERSON (C Habib), Trainer K Mitchley will be 	advised to have this gelding re-schooled prior to his next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10.
h)	BINGWA, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer DG Smith, 	acting on behalf of Trainer GD Smith, was advised. (LM)
i)	SEQUOIA, unplaced, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer JP Nel was advised. (LM)
