THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CHAMPONELLE was stubborn loading. b) PRINCESS HANNAH was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (15h24) b) Permission was granted for GOLDEN PAVILION to be assisted by a lead pony when proceeding to the start. c) GOLDEN PAVILION, CHAMPONELLE and ONE TOO MANY were hanging in from the 250m. d) Jockey W Agrella reported that PRINCESS HANNAH did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinarian was requested to examine this mare. e) BLACK EGRET, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee Y Thuthu, acting on behalf of Trainer JP Nel, was advised. (LM) THE VETERINARIAN REPORTED: a) PRINCESS HANNAH - examined post-race. Not striding out left hind. b) TINTAMARRE - abnormal respiratory noise. c) KINGS AGAIN - scalp wound left hind. d) ONE TOO MANY - fatigued. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS.
