THE STARTER REPORTED A) IDEAL TIME kicked the back gate in the stalls. B) JOE HARMAN was slow into stride. C) SILVAN PARK was stubborn loading. ` THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED A) SILVAN PARK (R Munger) was hanging in, in the straight. In view of the performance of SILVAN PARK (R Munger) (distance 17:00 - betting 18/10) the Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. C) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning EMPRESS KI (*Y Ramzan), and in terms of Rule 93.1, this filly is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Trainer G D Smith was advised. D) Jockey F Herholdt signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that he misused his crop by striking the horse WAR MAN more than 12 times in the entire race. A penalty of a R1500 fine was imposed. E) The winner WAR MAN was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis, Assistant Trainer L Gila acting on behalf of Trainer K Naidoo advised (LM).
