THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (13h30) b) Jockey G Behr reported that UNDOUBTED THE BOY changed stride continually in running and he did not persevere with his riding from the 400m. The Veterinarian was requested to examine this gelding. c) BOURBON KING was hanging in from the 400m. d) ROYAL INFLUENCER was directed outwards to obtain clear running approaching the 200m. e) Jockey C Little reported that BRIGADIER BILLY made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinarian was requested to examine this gelding. f) Trainer GW Ennion was charged with a contravention of Rule 11.2.8 in that he presented UNDOUBTED THE BOY incorrectly equipped in the parade ring. Trainer GW Ennion signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R250.00. g) BOURBON KING, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer WA Nel was advised.
