THE STARTER REPORTED A) SEATTLE BEAT, IMPERIOUS DUKE and AL FALAK were slow into stride. B) SWANKING was slow away and lost 1 length. C) PICTURE THE MOMENT was nervous in the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED A) PICTURE THE MOMENT (X Ndlovu) raced wide without cover and as a consequence over-raced in the early stages. B) Jockey M V'Rensburg reported that BETHEL did not stride out freely in the running. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. C) Apprentice K A Brewer reported that AL FALAK choked up in the running. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. D) The winner EUPHORIC was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis, Trainer J V A Strydom advised (LM).
