Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SPEAK NO EVIL was restless and reared in the stalls. b) BACHATA and DARK FORTUNE jumped slow, losing one length. c) NOBLE SALTURE was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) RUBEE KING recorded a TCO2 concentration of more than 36 mmol/L. Trainer D McLachlan was advised that a second blood specimen would be collected. This specimen was of an acceptable TCO2 level. (12h28) b) Approaching the 200m, ROYAL LIGHT was steadied briefly when racing tight between BACHATA and RUBEE KING. Thereafter, ROYAL LIGHT was hanging out in the latter stages. c) SARATOGA SUNRISE raced green. d) In view of the report from the Starter regarding SPEAK NO EVIL, this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as he proves to be tractable to load and stand on terms with a companion. (Suspension dates: 20/05/2026 to 26/05/2026, both dates inclusive). SPEAK NO EVIL may not be presented for re-passing during this period.
