Stipes Report
The start of this race was delayed due to the starters report below. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SUN IN MY POCKET was stubborn to load, restless in the stalls, rushed the front gate, removed, examined by the Veterinarian and declared fit to race. b) KAAPSE KLOPSE lost 2 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (SR) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) HEARTS ON FIRE raced wide around the turn and into the straight. In view of the performance of HEARTS ON FIRE (8.65 lengths and 25/1 in the betting), the Veterinarian was requested to examine. c) In the concluding stages AXIS POWER which rolled in was brushed by LUNCH MONEY which shifted out away from the crop. d) LUNCH MONEY, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D Zaki was advised (MM). JOCKEY CHANGES : a) Nil. THE VETERINARIAN REPORTED : a) NDAKA: Coughing. b) HEARTS ON FIRE: Nothing obvious detected. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS. DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: a) None.
