THE STARTER REPORTED: a) THOUGHT CONTROL was restless in the stalls. Lost 2 lengths. b) CAPTAIN'S PRIDE lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DA) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) Leaving the starting stalls WHATASTAR, which was slow into stride, was bumped out by TRIP OF FAITH, which jumped outwards. c) At the 400m, CELESTIAL DIAMOND, was steadied outwards in anticipation of being awkwardly placed on the heels of THOUGHT CONTROL, which rolled out. d) CAPTAIN'S PRIDE hung in from the 350m. e) Jockey R A Venniker (MYSTIC DANCER) accidentally dropped her crop at the 100m. f) In view of the performances of PLUMBAGO PARK (4.85 lengths and 5/1 in the betting), and CELESTIAL DIAMOND (5.95 lengths and 33/1 in the betting), the Veterinarian was requested to examine. g) SIGN OF FATE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
