THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) EDDIE THE MOVER (G Wright) was hanging in from the 300m. b) At the 250m, ZOOBERI (S Moodley) which was hanging in from the 400m, was momentarily inconvenienced on the outside of ENID'S GIRL (W Kennedy) which shifted out marginally. c) Shortly after the finish-line, VASILIKOS (M Yeni) ducked in sharply when reacting to the shadow cast by the grandstand across the racetrack. d) Trainer P Matchett signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 39.7.5 in that he failed to vaccinate VASILIKOS against Equine Influenza in accordance with the programme of vaccination as published from time to time in the Racing Calendar. Accordingly, a penalty of a fine of R1000 was imposed. e) VASILIKOS (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
