THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) KITE SURFER (C Zackey) took an awkward stride at the 550m. Thereafter, Jockey C Zackey reported that KITE SURFER did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. b) GREY VIEW (W Kennedy) jumped the shadow cast by the floodlights at the 500m. c) SHESAKINDA MAGIC (G Lerena) was hanging out from the 250m. Thereafter, Jockey G Lerena reported that SHESAKINDA MAGIC did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) Shortly after the finish line, GREY VIEW (W Kennedy) jumped the shadow cast by the grandstand across the racetrack. e) EXPEDITIONER (R Fourie), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
