Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TOM'S ACT (*R Venniker) lost 3 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) At approximately the 900m TOM'S ACT (R Venniker) had to steady momentarily when hanging inwards on the heels of ARROW'S MARK (*J Syster). Thereafter, at the 700m TOM'S ACT (R Venniker) continued to hang in and made contact with the inside running rail. Apprentice R Venniker reported that this gelding did not stride out freely and did not persevere with her riding from the 300m, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. b) GENTLEMAN'S WAY (*G Pieterse) shifted in away from the crop at the 150m. c) In view of the Starter's report with regard to TOM'S ACT this gelding's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and it is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 10.05.2022 to the 16.05.2022. TOM'S ACT may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer D Campbell was advised. (SL) d) GENTLEMAN'S WAY (*G Pieterse) did not parade in front of the grandstand. Trainer D Bosch was advised that should this gelding behave similarly in future it may be suspended. e) TOM'S ACT (R Venniker), placed tenth, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D Campbell advised (HM). f) BRANDENBURG (*C Dicken), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer N Kotzen advised (NS). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) LORD OF THE MANOR raced equipped with blinkers (advised 09.05.2022 / 08h10). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil.
