THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Apprentice P Mxoli reported that TWELVE OAKS did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. b) In view of the performance of GLOBAL RANSOM (*S Sosibo), (betting 5/2, distance 5,25 lengths), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Trainer P A Peter will be requested to report back to the Board on the condition of this gelding on return to stables. c) SCOTTADITO (M van Rensburg), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee F Naude advised (DR). When questioned regarding the improved performance of SCOTTADITO, Stable Employee F Naude could offer the Board no suitable explanation. His attention was drawn to the Rules pertaining to In and Out running.
